Hello Antonio,
I am new to this blogging thing and internet marketing and have for the last few months found WordPress to be very good for setting up a blog. I would rate WordPress as the best user friendly blogging software for the beginners. The free plugins are also awesome. I had started on blogger but the WordPress transfer has given me better control over my blog.
Thanks for the post. I hope am in the right direction.

For me I choose to use WordPress self hosted since it has very many free and commercial plugins that allow me to do anything I wish with my blog. I can convert the site to any CMS I wish since the free plugins that come with self hosted WordPress provide me with the best blogging environment.

Hosted Blogs seems to be the best choice. WordPress and Blogger are best for amateurs, as they provide varied themes and different levels of customization. Thanks to Web 2.0, every one can own a page of their own, design it as per choice, personalize it to the core; it’s that easy.
